Message for U.S. Citizens – Recommendation to Approach the Consulate from the West side of 14 Wei Road

On March 26, the building with the Bank of China branch directly across the Consulate began losing large sections of concrete from the façade, creating dangerous circumstances for pedestrians and vehicles below.  All U.S. Consulate Shenyang personnel and visitors should take necessary precautions when accessing the Consulate, to include approaching the building from the west side of 14 Wei Road.  The area directly below the falling debris has been blocked off with tape, but individuals should use caution as the items could present a danger further away from the building.
