Travel Recommendation: Beautiful Tianzifang Neighborhood in Shanghai

The next time you visit Shanghai, go see the lovely neighborhood of Tianzifang 田子坊 in Pudong.  Located at 210 Taikang Road (泰康路210弄) and Dapuqiao Metro Stop.  There are many cute shops and cafes where you can spend the morning or afternoon.  See local artists, meet people, enjoy a drink and a snack.  Here is one special shop - Deng's Paper Cutting.  Maybe a little expensive, but you can look at the beautiful examples and choose something in a peaceful environment.

Travel Recommendation: Day Trip to Dandong

Many of you have probably visited the city of Dandong, south of Shenyang in Liaoning Province.  It is the largest Chinese border city, bordering Sinuiju (Xinyizhou in Chinese) in North Korea. A lot of the trade that runs through this city is North Korea bound, and that is also one of Dandong’s main attractions. In Dandong, you can visit the Hushan section of the Great... [Lire la suite]

Great Guide in Jiangxi Province

Thinking about a trip to Jiangxi Province, the ceramics capital of China?  Jingdezhen and the surrounding towns make a beautiful long weekend.  If you are a hopeful ceramic artist or potter, consider a longer stay at one of the residency programs (The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen city, or Sanbao in the countryside). In any case, our bloggers highly recommend Ding from To Jingdezhen as your future guide in the area.  Ding will communicate with you through email, Facebook or by phone.  He can organize a great tour...
