Beijing, La Taverne

Si vous aimez la cuisine française, vous ne pouvez pas manquer le restaurant La Taverne à Pékin, en face du Centre Culturel français, n°7 rue Gong Ti Xi Lu, à Chaoyang . Au menu: escargots, foie gras poêlé, tartiflette, volaille à la normande, tarte tatin... sans compter le vin! et crêpes salées et sucrées au menu enfant, le bonheur! La clientèle est internationale mais beaucoup y parle français...

Attention, je connais un Français qui a d'abord déjeuné à La Taverne et qui est ensuite allé lire des magazines au C.C.F., il n'a pas lu grand choses... mais les lecteurs de la librairie l'ont bien entendu ronfler...

If you like French cuisine you have to go to the restaurant La Taverne in Beijing! It's located n°7 Gong Ti Xi Lu road, in Chaoyang District, opposite the French Cultural Center. On menu: snails (so sorry for snails-friends!), pan-fried goose liver, fowl cooked in the Normandy way, Tatin tart... and good wine! and sweet and salty pancakes for the kids. A paradise for the greedy ones! The customers come from all over the world but many speak French...

Be careful, I personnally know a French man who had lunch at the Taverne and wanted to read a few French magazines at the C.C.F. just across the street, he could not read much... but the other readers could hear him snoring...
